Microwave Cooking: Rinse measured rice 1 to 2 times to remove extra starch, then drain. Place one cup of rice (200g) and 1 ½ cups water (375mL) in a microwave-safe bowl. Add salt to taste. Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Cook on high setting for 6?10 minutes. Carefully remove the plastic wrap, and continue to cook for another 10?12 minutes at medium setting. Stir rice from time to time. Remove from microwave and let sit covered for 5?10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
